Strong Tower Christian Media Promotions Director

Position: This position is full-time with flexible hours based on event schedules.
We are looking for just the right person to lead our “Department of Fun” as a Promotions Director! As the Promotions Director at Strong Tower Christian Media, you will be the driving force behind all our promotional activities. In this dynamic role, you’ll work together with our programming and sales teams to create and execute strategies that boost audience engagement, drive advertising revenue and effectiveness, and enhance the public image and reputation within our listening areas. As Listener Engagement Director, you will create events that reward our listening community with FUN and introduce us to new listeners as we contribute to our community in meaningful ways. Your love for gathering and engaging people, creativity, and hospitality will shine in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Here are the main things you need to be successful:
Audience Engagement, Event Planning, and Coordination
Work with the Director of Programming to enhance audience engagement through in-person and online promotional opportunities, including events, live broadcasts, and contests.
Plan and execute promotional events, including remote broadcasts and community events.
Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams, vendors, and sponsors.
Create materials for events, including on-air and social media ad copy.
Capture photos and mobile videos of events.
Partnership Management
Build and maintain relationships with external partners, sponsors, churches, media, and community organizations to support promotional efforts and secure partnerships.
Collaborate with other staff on press releases.
Promotional Content Creation
Oversee the creation of compelling, brand-consistent promotional materials, including on-air spots, digital content, and printed materials.
Budget and Equipment Management
Manage the promotions budget, ensuring all activities stay within allocated funds.
Oversee maintenance of all promotional materials, including promotional vehicles and promotional displays.
Contest and Giveaway Management
Handle prize fulfillment documents and ensure compliance with FCC, FTC, and other legal contest regulations.
Volunteer Team Management
Recruit, train, and energize volunteers for promotional activities.
Maintain the volunteer website and report volunteer hours for quarterly reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
What we are looking for in a qualified candidate:
Minimum of three years experience in broadcast/media promotions leadership.
Bachelor’s degree.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
Clean driver’s license and record.
Ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
Willingness to work outdoors during events and travel throughout the broadcast region.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events and promotions.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Experience in the production of print materials and publications.
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
Experience in Social Media platforms.
