Summary of PositionThe Assistant Director, Marketing is responsible for communicating CTC’s message to the members of the community, locally and worldwide, with primary responsibility for Central Campus internal and external information. This is a highly visible position.
Minimum Required EducationAssociate’s degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field is required. Bachelor’s degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education required in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing or related field is preferred.
Minimum Required ExperienceAssociate’s Degree and six years’ experience in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or Marketing required or Bachelor’s degree and four years experience in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or Marketing required. One year supervisor preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and working knowledge of desktop publishing/graphic design software.
Knowledge of marketing, advertising and public relations principles, TV/radio production. Photography skills are a plus.
Knowledge of social media for public and community relations to include social media marketing.
Experience working with media and coordinating activities and special events.
Ability to write marketing materials in a clear, concise manner.
Excellent communications and presentation skills are required.
Must work well with others.
Able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
Professional appearance and attention to detail are required.
Knowledge of web design and writing.
Project management skills.
Supervisory skills.
Salary1G/Per Salaried Pay Scale
HoursFull-time, indicate working hours - M-Thurs. 7:30 am-5:30 pm; Friday 7:30-11:30 am
Other InformationAvailability for weekend and/or evening events required.
