ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Cyber Security Engineer, Senior to join our team in Chantilly, VA.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Deploys Enterprise Perimeter Protection solutions with focus in cyber securityEngineers and deploys capabilities to provide new functionality, improve system performance/availability, and for generating efficiencies in the maintenance of the operational environmentProvides Tier 3 maintenance support for deployed technologiesSupports Assessment and Authorization activities related to deployed technologiesIdentifies potential conflicts with implementation of deployed technologies within the enterprise and develops recommendations to remediate these conflictsContributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projectsProvides solutions to a variety of complex technical problemsDevelop plans to safeguard computer files against unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosureMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years of equivalent experienceMust have 5 years of relevant work experienceMust have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II certifications within six (6) months of hireExperience with network defense technologies in the following areas: Firewalls, IDS/IPS and email securityA solid understanding of Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills are requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience with the development, engineering, test, sustainment, and overall O&M activities for a secure government systemDemonstrated experience with F5 and FireEye security products desiredKnowledge with cybersecurity architectural principles such as defense in depth, resilience, and integrated security operationsAbility to apply security principles to the systems and enterprise system designsWorking knowledge of database and operating system securityKnowledge of defensive cyber operationsUnderstanding of fundamental cloud computing conceptsExperience with Information Assurance concepts and processesAbility to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are metAbility to make decisions and resolve problems effectively – Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practiceMust be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project prioritiesClearance Requirement:Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ PolygraphPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machineryThe person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
