Requirement:As the Multi-Domain C3 Engineer, you will provide technical expertise for warfighting capability development, integration, and transition of new technologies that close time-critical gaps in high-priority, multi-component warfighting missions.
Daily work is in direct support of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Mission Capabilities (OASD(MC)) within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)).
Primary responsibilities include:
Providing subject-matter expertise to rapidly explore and prototype multi-domain command, control, and communications (C3) capabilities to synchronize data sharing and decision making for joint warfighting.Delivering technical assessments and analysis to provide recommended innovative approaches, technologies, and capabilities to close critical joint warfighting capability gaps.Providing technical expertise to inform mission engineering studies, prototype development, experimentation, and global integrated wargaming.Providing technical analysis and advice to help inform capability requirements development and validation through the JCIDS process.Collaborating with Service, Joint Staff, and OSD stakeholders to support the transition of technologies from prototypes and joint experimentation activities to Service programs of record.Preparing and delivering reports and briefings for senior DoD leadership and Congress.
Required Experience:At least 10 years of relevant technical work experience.Experience planning and executing complex systems analysis efforts for the DoD and/or IC.Experience conducting systems engineering tasks related to connecting sensors across Services to weapons platforms and shooters.Experience conducting assessments of threat kill chains and kill webs to analyze mission threads, develop system models, and conduct engineering trade studies.
Desired Experience:Self-starter, able to take initiative and operate independently.Ability to develop high-quality, professional briefings and written reports to succinctly capture technical concepts for senior DoD leadership and Congress.Familiarity with current Combined Joint All Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) and Joint Fires Network (JFN) efforts within the DoD.
