What You'll Do:This role will drive analysis with regard to software deliverables, requirements, and testing processes, in support of testing of OCC Ovation core business applications. Responsibilities include refinement of test approaches, coordination of a holistic approach for implementation on automated testing solutions to ensure high quality of software deliverables; in addition to providing visibility and reporting capabilities for overall testing processes. This position will liaison between Product Owners, Tech Owners, and the testing team in order to support the functional validation of delivered software against requirements. This position requires a mix of business analytical skills and technical knowledge.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Completes analytical work related to application requirements and test artifact creations such as test cases and scenarios.Assisting in planning, coordination, and execution of test activities.Serving as liaison and advising the Business and Product teams in relation to test requirements.Identifying, assisting in triage of identified defects with business and technology groups.Aligning test approaches to overall strategy and assisting in execution.Where required, preparing, documenting, and reviewing test cases and scenarios.Assists in prioritization of test cases and scenarios for automation purposes.Maintains traceability and provides ownership for test cases.Compiles testing outcomes in an easy to review and clear format.Reports progress on a regular basis to numerous stakeholders including but not limited to Product Owner, Tech Owner, Project Management, Accountable Executives, and others.Participates in release control process.Identifies risks and raises mitigation strategies.Performs other duties as assigned.Provides leadership to more junior team resources and assists in upskilling.Completes analysis at a product level and provides feedback and clarifications for testing teams on approach, scenarios, etc.Supervisory Responsibilities:No direct supervisory responsibilities but should provide leadership and guidance to more junior resources, may be required to handle scrum master type duties and oversee testing activities as requested by management.Qualifications:[Required] Advanced knowledge of a development lifecycle under Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.[Required] Ability to manage small- and large-scale projects and ensure team efficiency.[Required] Broad-based knowledge of the lifecycle development, change control management, test planning.[Required] Strong analytical skills with potential to display methods of testing highly sophisticated systems, progressively diagnose system defects, and clearly communicate project constituents, key findings, and learnings.[Required] Strong communication skills, written and oral, sound judgement and time management skills, ability to work effectively with clients (users), management, and staff.[Required] Highly motivated self-starter with creative problem-solving skills.[Required] Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced Agile environment.[Required] Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.[Required] Familiarity with AWS cloud deployments and applications.[Required] Tenacity for problem solving and meticulous attention to detail.Technical Skills:[Required] Familiarity with BDD and TDD concepts as it relates to test automation.[Required] Relational databases and query tools (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2).[Required] Familiarity with JIRA / Confluence.[Preferred] Programming/Scripting experience/knowledge in any one language (Java, VB script, Python, SQL, Gherkin).Education and/or Experience:[Required] Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.[Preferred] Prior experience in Financial Services industry.[Preferred] Test management experience leading small to large projects and development of test plans.[Preferred] 6+ years’ experience in combination of Development, Quality Assurance, Project Management, or other related IT disciplines.Certificates or Licenses:None Required.Who We Are:The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) is the world's largest equity derivatives clearing organization.
