Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.We are seeking an experienced and skilled .NET engineer to join our team. As a .NET engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications using the .NET core technology stack. You will work collaboratively with our cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions that meet business needs.Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.Design, develop, and maintain software applications using .NET technologies such as C#, .NET core.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize requirements.Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions align with industry standards.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and defects.Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in .NET development.Required Skills:At least 5+ years of experience in .NET developmentProficient in C# and .NET core fundamentalsProficiency in Oracle/MSSQL/PostgreSQL or another relational database platformExperience with development tools like Visual Studio, Git, etc.Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principlesFamiliarity with version control systems like GitExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Desired Skills:Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC & Web API, SQL Server, Entity Framework CoreExperience with ReactJS, VueJSExperience with testing frameworks like NUnit and xUnitFamiliarity with distributed databases such as CockroachDBExposure to event-driven architectures and messaging systems like KafkaResponsibilities:Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirementsDesigns, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintainedMentors other software engineers and coaches the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stackExecutes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecyclePerforms spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideasAutomates manual release activitiesDesigns, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)Bank of America is committed to helping employees through the transition period when they’re displaced as a result of a workforce reduction, realignment, or similar measure.
