Right of Way Agent
to work on projects based out of Central Virginia. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside within a 50-mile radius of Lynchburg, VA and be able to travel throughout Virginia about 50% of the time.As a Right of Way Agent, you will be acquiring easements for fiber, distribution, and/or transmission projects. Working on these projects brings a more reliable power source to communities through line rebuilds or the creation of new lines which will in turn upgrade the power source to new standards. The selected candidate will conduct advanced right of way negotiations with high-risk landowners. English language proficient. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone, and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment, and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
