As an Account Manager at Melexis, you'll be responsible for sales and new business development in the West Region (California, Pacific Northwest and Mexico). This is a strategic role to engage leading mass market electronics companies to help drive sustainable business across the entire customer base. The position will target opportunities in Industrial Controls, Alternative Mobility (e.g. E-bikes, RVs, Motorized Wheelchairs), Robotics, Sustainable Energy (e.g. Energy Management), and Digital Health.Your profile
More specifically, you will:Support both sales and business development by identifying growing markets and trends, partnering with leading mass market companies, and driving revenue with regional sales.Manage identified accounts in the territory and drive sales objectives.Present to purchasing staff, engineers, and management at accounts of interest in a professional setting as the front-line representative of the company.Manage sales representatives and other channel partners, and leverage their resources in the territory to drive new customer identification and customer base expansion.Utilize resources from contracted sales representative partners and distributors to drive rapid growth.Provide customer support as needed responding to customer technical and commercial questions.Provide market feedback to the company on the competitive environment and new product ideas and features.Discuss design issues and present the technical benefits of our products.Maintain the Salesforce CRM database with detailed and accurate customer and channel information regarding sales opportunities, design ins, design wins and production status.Prepare accurate forecasts of business for use in capacity planning, longer range resource planning and sales prioritization.Your profile
Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Physics.Five or more years of position related experience in a technical, customer-facing role.Working knowledge of circuits with the ability to engage in system-level discussions with the customer.Experience in semiconductors or a similar industry is highly desirable.Energetic self-starter who is driven and inspired by unlimited opportunities for an innovative sensor product with a highly creative and fast-growing customer base.Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.Able to summarize difficult technical issues clearly and concisely.Strong communication and presentation skills.Tenacious ability to prospect new business.Ability to engage others and provide top-notch customer service.Self-starter that can work autonomously without proximity supervision.Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.Desire to work for a fast-paced growth-oriented company.Willing and able to travel approximately 30% in assigned sales region as required.We offer
