As the National Sales Director of a leading provider of Flexible Automation Systems for sheet metal manufacturing, you will helm the sales operations across the USA. You will develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies, foster a high-performance sales culture, and drive our organization's market presence and revenue. Compensation:
$150,000.00 - $175,000.00 with a highly compensated commission structure
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a robust sales strategy across North America in line with the corporate goals.
Conduct detailed market analysis to pinpoint trends, scope opportunities, and anticipate challenges.
Lead, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.
Maintain and enhance long-term relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and aligning our offerings.
Oversee partnership management, including establishing or terminating agreements with agents.
Achieve financial growth by boosting sales volumes and forging new customer relationships.
Collaborate with Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service departments to integrate sales with other company functions.
Monitor sales performance, providing detailed reports and adapting strategies as needed.
Support negotiations by leveraging product knowledge and competitive pricing strategies.
Manage the development and distribution of effective sales and promotional materials in tandem with marketing efforts.
Direct annual sales budget planning and quarterly forecast updates.
Lead sales pipeline management, budget allocations, and resource planning for optimal outcomes.
Supervise and direct U.S. sales personnel, including decisions on wages, commissions, hiring, and terminations.
Ensure proficiency in CRM/CPQ tool usage across the sales team.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
7-10 years of sales management experience in a B2B environment, ideally within the automation industry.
Proven track record of leading sales teams and achieving sales targets.
Extensive experience in high technology sales environments and performance management.
Strong proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
Thorough understanding of North American manufacturing and automation market dynamics.
Excellent communication skills, expertise in negotiations, and transparent management style.
Effective at multi-tasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Readiness for frequent travel across North America.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Sales/Marketing, or a similar field.
Formal training in consultative sales techniques, familiarity with sales methodologies.
