We are looking for an experienced senior attorney to help clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload, and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the caseNegotiate suitable agreements and settle on the client's behalf when appropriateSupervise and delegate tasks to the team of legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, litigation paralegals, and legal secretaryAssess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordinglyInterview clients, supporting witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to collect informationStay updated on changing applicable laws and statutes on the local, state, and federal levelsPerform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motionsArgue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedingsProvide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflictsAnticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clientsQualifications
A bachelor’s degree and a J.D. degree is requiredSuperior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valuedUp-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperativeA minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is necessaryState Bar Association membership and state license to practice law is mandatoryAt least 5 years of experience working as a senior associate attorneyPrevious experience advocating for clients in trials, mediation, and arbitrationMember of state and local bar associations in good standingBachelor’s degree with a law degree from an accredited law school (such as an LLM, JSD, or J.D. degree)Work independently while handling a heavy caseloadCompensation
