Position OverviewThe Regional Vice President of Channel Sales, North America is responsible for overseeing all partner-related activities across the North America region. This role includes managing the channel supply chain, channel strategy, and partner management. The RVP leads the channel sales personnel within the region, including staffing, training, and setting strategic direction aligned to our global channel strategy. Additionally, the role is accountable for meeting sales goals, quotas, and managing budgets.

As the partner landscape continues to evolve rapidly, this critical role will develop and execute channel strategies, collaborate with regional sales managers to provide channel support, and engage with press and analysts to showcase F5’s channel initiatives. The RVP directs the overall channel strategy, ensuring alignment with F5’s revenue objectives for North America.

Primary Responsibilities

Lead and manage a significant portion of F5’s sales activities in North America through strategic channel partnerships.

Develop comprehensive in-region channel strategies, programs, and hiring plans to support the company’s channel objectives.

Foster executive relationships with key partners and industry leaders, ensuring alignment with F5’s goals through performance metrics.

Spearhead the development of cloud, MSP, and SaaS channel partnerships, including recruitment of partners and development to success.

Establish and monitor metrics to ensure channel partners align with F5's broader objectives.

Collaborate with F5 Finance to manage margins and pricing strategies within the Americas region.

Ensure achievement of annual channel revenue targets for the Americas.

Oversee the channel marketing budget (MDF & OPEX) alongside the head of North America Field Marketing to align with company goals.

Lead the development of local strategic partnerships, including alliances with organizations such as CSPs, RedHat, and Nvidia.

Design and implement the annual North America Channel Strategic Plan in collaboration with the SVP, North America Sales and VP, Global Partner Ecosystem. Partner with cross-functional teams in North America to drive the channel strategy forward.

Lead the North America Partner Advisory Councils and contribute to the organization of F5 AppWorld and Academy events across North America.

Ensure compliance with F5’s Business Code of Ethics and report any policy violations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven sales management experience within a sell-through model.

Strong knowledge of networking and security technologies, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly.

Leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to motivate teams to achieve aggressive sales targets.

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and excel with minimal supervision.

Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, capable of engaging with both internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in the technology industry, specifically in network infrastructure and security hardware/software.

10+ years of sales executive management experience, with a focus on channel organizations.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field.

The annual base pay for this position is: $222,655.00 - $333,983.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
