Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

or

Physician Assistant

to join its Division of Neonatology. The Renee Schine Crown Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a Level-3, 72 bed (single-roomed), state-of-the-art unit, caring for critically ill infants who are born at Rush and/or transferred in from network hospitals.*PA applicants will need to have completed a NICU APP Fellowship or have previous experience practicing as a NICU PA.The expectation for this role includes caring for a complex set of patients and working collaboratively with neonatologists, neonatal fellows, pediatric residents, and fellow Advanced Practice Providers. Responsibilities include delivery room attendance and management, direct patient care, neonatal procedures, and neonatal transport. The schedule rotates and is self-scheduled within guidelines, including 10-hour day shifts, 16-hour overnight shifts from 4pm - 8am, and optional 24-hour shifts.*APRN candidates for this position must be acute care certified.The

Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

functions as a member of the healthcare team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP promotes collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost-effective and quality patient care.Rush has over 400 APPs across the enterprise that provide comprehensive patient care each day autonomously and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.Rush is an equal opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
