Field Application Scientist , you are the critical informational link between field sales representatives, customers, and the rest of the Bio-Rad team. A typical day could involve a lab-based training on Bio-Rad products, presenting a technical seminar to educate future customers on our product offerings, providing troubleshooting support virtually or in person, or working on development projects. As the successful candidate for this position, you will work with the local sales team to assist biopharma/for-profit customers in the Northeast United States.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Collaborate with the sales team: Work closely with local sales representatives to meet quarterly and yearly sales targets. Provide technical and scientific advice in the sales process.
Customer training: Provide hands-on training and technical support to customers on product usage, ensuring they understand features and best practices. Wet-lab bench work is involved.
Product demonstrations: Showcase the capabilities and applications of Bio-Rad products to help potential clients appreciate the value and benefits to their organization.
Technical consultation: Advise customers on experimental design and data reporting. Assist with experiment troubleshooting and other technical support.
Projects and collaborations: Develop strategic projects to share product knowledge and customer feedback with the field application scientist team and other internal stakeholders such as product management, marketing, and R&D.
What You Bring:
Education: MS in Life or Physical Sciences, PhD preferred.
Work Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in proteomics techniques, in-depth experience with protein chromatography and western blot digital imaging mandatory.
Strong oral, written, and public presentation skills required. A combination of enthusiasm for science, expert troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills are the keys to success in this position.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $91,500 to $125,900 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
