Assistant Professor of Violin

Minimum Education and Experience:A master's degree or equivalent professional experience.A significant record of ongoing professional experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and/or orchestral musician.Demonstrated excellence in performing and teaching musical genres within and beyond the traditional canon.Commitment to teaching at the college/university level and attracting, developing, and retaining outstanding students.Commitment to promoting, programming, and teaching works by composers from underrepresented groups.Commitment to working with students from diverse and under-represented communities.Ability to work collaboratively in a multifaceted academic environment, including collaborations in the Department of Music, Mason Gross School of the Arts, and the wider university.Preferred Qualifications:Record of commissioning/premiering/recording new works for violin.Experience with string pedagogy.City:
