Toddler Program Teacher

We believe in the competence and potential of every child and are guided by the core values of compassion, curiosity, and community.Job Overview:We are seeking a loving, patient, and enthusiastic Toddler Program Teacher to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with toddlers and a deep understanding of early childhood development. You will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive interactions for children ages 18-36 months.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a play-based curriculum tailored to the developmental needs and interests of toddlers.Create a nurturing and responsive environment that fosters emotional security and encourages exploration and learning.Support toddlers in developing language, motor skills, and social-emotional growth through intentional and interactive activities.Maintain strong, positive relationships with families through regular communication about their child’s progress and developmental milestones.Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure continuity of care and learning.Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations.Qualifications:Minimum 12 units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (Infant/Toddler Development units preferred).Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or early education setting.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Fingerprint and TB clearance.CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Ability to lift 40 pounds and engage in active play with toddlers.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a play-based, emergent curriculum setting.Understanding of toddler behavior and strategies for supporting challenging behaviors.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off, including sick leave and holidays.Opportunities for professional development and growth.Supportive and inclusive work environment.How to Apply:Please send your resume and cover letter to preschool@netivotshalom.org.
