Job Overview
Research Scientist to conduct research involving novel solid phase materials from a group of uniform materials based on organic salts (GUMBOS) in the research group of Dr. Isiah Warner.
Essential Functions
Syntheses of novel solid phase materials from a group of uniform materials based on organic salts (GUMBOS) and investigate the use of novel solid phase materials for analytical applications.Perform research in the area of protein chemistry and nanotechnology while mentoring and assisting students with developing analytical methods.Provide support for graduate and undergraduate students on research involving protein separations using SDS-PAGE. Collaborate with graduate and undergraduate students in the areas of their research.Assist in writing proposals to support research. Assist in directing the ongoing research of graduate and undergraduate students. Represent Dr. Isiah Warner in his absence during travels or attendance at meetings.
Required Education
PhD and/or MD required.

Minimum qualifications: PhD in chemistry or related field.
