The College delivers a wide range of technical, vocational, and professional education programmes from entry levels right through to higher education, utilising an extensive range of employer relationships.BSDC is a medium general further education college, with two campuses, and aspires to become a vibrant dynamic global College. The College’s latest Ofsted inspection in 2024 was rated outstanding, alongside a strong financial health position.The Director of Curriculum role will report into the Assistant Principal Curriculum and will have management responsibility for a range of curriculum departments and line management responsibility for a group of Curriculum Team Leaders.The Director of Curriculum will be expected to lead, motivate and inspire a team to design, plan and implement a curriculum which meets the local and national skills priorities that engages learners to achieve their maximum potential.The successful candidate will be innovative, able to think strategically, and oversee the implementation of day-to-day operational matters, paying attention to detail while never losing sight of the bigger picture.The alignment to specific occupational specialisms is not a requirement for the role as the College welcomes applications from a diverse range of vocational experience with a successful track record in delivering high quality education and learner experience, and those individuals who embrace the College’s core values to help achieve its adaptive strategic plan ambitions.Minimum Requirements:Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths.
