Associate Scientist, Protein Purification

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Express recombinant proteins using sophisticated systems such as bacterial, mammalian, and insect cells.
Implement a variety of protein purification techniques including but not limited to affinity, ion exchange, and size exclusion chromatography.
Conduct comprehensive biochemical and biophysical assays, including SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, UV/Vis spectrophotometry, and more to ensure accurate interpretation of data.
Rigorously analyze experimental data using advanced software and tools to report findings with high precision.
Present synthesized reports and findings to interdisciplinary teams to facilitate knowledge sharing and data-driven decision making.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
BS/MS degree in Protein Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, with a focus on recombinant protein expression and purification.
Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment with precision and care.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software pertinent to protein biochemistry.
Effective communication skills capable of presenting complex data to interdisciplinary teams clearly and succinctly.
Preferred Qualifications:
2-10 years of relevant academic or industry experience in protein research and development.
Proficiency in using protein expression systems such as E. coli or HEK293.
Seasoned expertise in chromatographic purification techniques and associated instrumentation.
Familiarity with advanced protein characterization methods including mass spectrometry.
Experienced in employing techniques such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Bio-Layer Interferometry (BLI), and ELISA for evaluating protein-protein interactions.
Skills:

Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
