is seeking a
Director of Advancement
to lead and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy. This role involves overseeing the Advancement team, coordinating key fundraising initiatives, and fostering relationships with alumnae. The Director will also manage mid-level giving efforts and play a pivotal role in driving the school’s mission forward through community engagement and strategic outreach.
Specific Duties Include:
Team Leadership:
Provides leadership and direction to the Advancement Team, ensuring a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Oversees the comprehensive Advancement program, with a focus on expanding the Annual Fund, growing the Endowment, enhancing revenue from Special Events, and driving increased participation in planned giving.
Develops, manages, and administers the Advancement Office budget to align with strategic fundraising goals.
Advancement and Board Committee Relations:
Provides strategic counsel to the President and Advancement Committee in developing and sustaining a robust advancement program that enhances the school’s image, drives enrollment, and secures critical resources.
Advises the President and key stakeholders on the potential effects of school policies and practices, taking into account public perception and the interests of alumnae, parents, and the broader community.
Annual Fund:
Collaborates with the President and Advancement Committee to develop and execute a comprehensive annual giving campaign that secures vital funding for the school’s ongoing needs.
Works closely with the Advancement Team to establish the Annual Fund as the cornerstone of the school’s giving efforts and achieving targeted fundraising goals.
Constituent Relations:
Leads the Advancement team in developing and implementing a comprehensive constituent relations program, engaging key groups such as parents, alumnae, parents of alumnae, grandparents, and friends, while ensuring effective cultivation and stewardship plans are carried out.
Solicitation of Gifts:
Creates and implements an annual strategy to expand Cor Jesu’s base of mid-level donors, focusing on contributions under $5,000, identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships with existing contributors. Solicits gifts, both independently and in collaboration with others.
Ensures that donor prospects are appropriately assigned to members of the Advancement team, advisory board, key volunteers, and administrators for cultivation and outreach.
Communications:
Collaborates with the Marketing & Communications team, Director of Leadership Giving, and Advancement staff to develop and coordinate marketing materials that support solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship efforts.
Partners with the Marketing & Communications team on initiatives related to the Advancement Office, ensuring alignment in messaging and outreach.
Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 3-5 years advancement experience.
Ability to collaborate with multiple departments, both internal and external, to produce projects in a timely manner.
Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A passion for Catholic education.
Experience with platforms utilized by the school, such as Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and relevant donor CRM software; Blackbaud experience preferred.
Scope:
This position is year-round, full-time and requires some evening and weekend work.
