Department of Fisheries Biology Temporary Faculty PoolThe DepartmentWe offer outstanding undergraduate and graduate (MS) programs in Fisheries Biology. We provide hands-on, field-oriented programs with a strong interplay between classroom theory and field laboratory practice. Our outstanding facilities include our Fish Hatchery, Fish Collection, the Research Vessel Coral Sea, and our Telonicher Marine Laboratory.At Cal Poly Humboldt, we prepare our students to be successful by providing our majors with the knowledge, skills, and motivation required to ensure the conservation of fish and aquatic resources that are faced with increasing societal demands and increasing loss or degradation of habitat.Courses/Areas of SpecializationCourses offered by the department include: Water Resources & Conservation, Ichthyology, Limnology, U.S. & World Fisheries, Aquaculture, Mariculture, Ecology of Freshwater Fish, Ecology of Marine Fish, Fish Population Dynamics, River Fish Restoration Ecology, Fisheries Oceanography, and a variety of advanced topics. Course Offerings .QualificationsMS in Fisheries Biology or related field and successful teaching experience in the field are required. Preferred qualifications include: PhD; relevance of training to appropriate area, teaching effectiveness as evidenced by supervisors, colleagues, or students.Position Type:

Dependent on qualifications and experience.The salary schedule information for the Lecturer – Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:Lecturer A
$5,507 - $6,677Lecturer B
$6,221 - $13,224Lecturer C
$6,825 - $14,523Appointees are typically placed at the beginning of the range.
