Professional Security Shift Supervisor .The
Security Shift Supervisor
will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services on a specific shift at an assigned customer. The Shift Supervisor will act as a liaison between site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the site daily operations of the physical security staff. The Supervisor leads, coaches and develops a team of Lobby, dock, mobile, escort, rover and gate security officers. The Supervisor develops and delivers daily outcomes and successful completion of assigned security activities each day. The Supervisor monitors completion of security activities from all physical security operations.The Supervisor will monitor radio communications, calls for service and timeliness of completing these calls of service. The Supervisor partners with site leadership and employees to support any operational issues and prepare for potential incidents. Work to ensure seamless operations by managing the quality of access control processes, efficient shift management, accurate incident reporting, and effective communication with partners such as the GSOC, Facilities, EHS, Legal, among others, as well as with external stakeholders such as landlords & building security as needed. Provide support for the implementation of new processes, drive targeted projects to enhance security measures, and maintain strict compliance with all security procedures.Qualifications/Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least 18 years of ageMust possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelinesMust be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwritingMust be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructionsLicensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employmentDriving Positions: must possess a valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record (no major violations within last 36 months, no more than 1 accident in last 24 months, no more than one minor moving violation in last 24 months), a minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle requiredAs a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test, may be required to pass Drivers Record checkIntermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sitesAbility to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficientlyDisplay exceptional customer service and communication skillsAble to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heatOccasionally lift or carry up to 40 poundsClimb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shiftStand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of timeAllied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
