Skip Technology (Skip Tech) is a research and development lab designing next generation, industrial sized, community-scale long duration energy storage (LDES) systems.

We have established a marketing foundation to run with and are seeking a marketing professional to help implement strategic initiatives to ramp up fundraising, market adoption, partner marketing/OEM sales and support partner marketing.

The ideal candidate will have a background in emerging clean energy companies with experience managing integrated marketing programs: events and webinars, launches, media relations, managing editorial calendars, press release writing, and copywriting for brochures and websites.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with marketing team on marketing and promotional materials

Work with CEO and CSO on fundraising materials

Help copyedit, proofread, and revise all official business communications

Help coordinate conferences, trade shows, interviews, etc.

Set up and lead lab tours

Help prepare founders for presentations and interviews

Identify and submit speaker abstracts for regional and national conferences

Develop outbound marketing campaigns

Maintain CRM

Assist CEO and COO with other office-related tasks

Education, Certifications, and/or Work Experience Requirements:

4+ years proven work experience in strategic or corporate communications; experience in a marketing/PR agency preferred.

Experience assessing communication metrics and data.

Interest in engineering/science/renewable energy is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able and willing to wear OSHA-required PPE (should the need arise).

Required Knowledge:

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Comfortable with both Apple and Windows computers.

Familiar with Google Docs.

Experience with shared intranet file systems.

Other Requirements:

Must be comfortable working in a predominantly female workplace.

Should not be averse to occasionally assisting the lab team with hands-on tasks.

Diplomatic with partners, investors, and reporters.

A writing sample will be requested during the interview process.

This job will evolve as the company grows.
