Finance & Profitability Solutions Engineer
for the Finance Solutions team. Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Profitability Solutions in the Data Analytics and Finance Solutions area, the person in this role will support department objectives by sourcing transaction data from various servicing systems including mainframe applications, developing data models, integration layers, and financial calculations. The output will be used for Financial Subledger, Financial Analytics and insights, accounting automation, auditing, financial planning & forecasting, and financial business intelligence.The Finance Solutions team is at the core of TFS to empower critical financial domains including Accounting, Finance & Tax and Treasury. Engineers on the Financial Solutions team build finance platforms, data pipelines, and financial products for the Finance team led by TFS’s CFO.What you’ll be doingActively engage in implementing & maintenance of
SAP Subledger (SAP FPSL) and Profitability & Performance Management (SAP PaPM)
solutions delivery using agile principles in collaboration with the domain teams and business-side product owner.Closely collaborate with the delivery team regarding current and future solutions and assist in ensuring optimal solutions are delivered.Provide collaboration, communication, analysis, support, and documentation where needed, to ensure the solution implemented meets both the project objectives and stakeholder expectations.Perform analysis on programs developed in COBOL for legacy platforms
(SHAW, LeMANS, CDS)
and reverse engineer the code to develop data pipelines to modern solutions such as Snowflake, SAP Integration products (SAP SDI, etc.).Understand the scope and parameters of completed systems analysis to ensure what is developed meets specific outcome criteria.Analyze business processes to determine appropriate data sources, interfaces, and process changes required to address business process needs.Work with cross-functional teams to drive product enhancements.Work on cross-functional teams that include product architects, designers, and business users to define and refine system requirements.Participate in testing and QA activities and work with developers in explaining requirements and testing solutions before implementing them in production.Document the workflow of each of our systems upstream and downstream to understand impacts of each change requested.Assist in documenting the governance process between Accounting, Finance, Treasury domain team, and Data Teams.Responsible for governance roles as assigned for future workflow capabilities in any system we choose.Responsible for the execution of SOX controls that have been created for SAP Subledger (FPSL) and SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) products.Responsible for developing and documenting process flows for multiple financial systems.Display a work style that exhibits high energy, strategic thinking, collaboration, direct communication, and results orientation.What you bringBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science or similar STEM field.Relevant professional work experience.Proven experience in mainframe COBOL engineering.Demonstrated experience to re-engineer programs running on legacy platforms.Strong technical hands-on experience with data pipeline building, data warehousing development, and analysis.High proficiency and professional experience coding in SQL, Python.Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau.Experience working with ticket tracking software.Added bonus if you haveMaster's Degree.Knowledge of DevOps framework.Working experience in the Banking or Financial Industry.What we’ll bringDuring your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
