POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director of Safety & Security will be responsible for all Club security operations at Geodis Park. In addition, this position will also oversee all security operations at Vanderbilt Health and Training Center which functions as the 365 day a year training ground for the First team. This position will report to the Vice President of Facility & Stadium Operations.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serve as point of contact for all security measures implemented at Geodis Park. This position will collaborate very closely with other members of the Stadium Operations department to execute all events at Geodis Park including Nashville Soccer Club matches.Responsible for submitting all required submittals to MLS as outlined in the MLS Operations Manual.Thorough knowledge and adherence to the MLS Operations Guide.Manage all security operations at Geodis Park and Vanderbilt Health Training Center including, not limited to, 24-hour security staffing and event staffing. This includes overseeing all hiring, training, and scheduling of staff.Serve as point of contact for DHS in implementing policies and procedures for best practices.Train all Nashville Soccer Club staff in safety.Schedule and interface with Metro Police and EMT staffing and supervisors for events at facilities owned or operated by Nashville Soccer Club.Create all Emergency Evacuation and Response Plans for Geodis Park and Vanderbilt Health Training Center.Conduct pre-event briefings as needed.Serve as the Command Post Captain and oversee Command Post operations at Geodis Park.Produce billing statements for each event and compile necessary data for security event staff payroll to be submitted to Vice President of Stadium Operations.Oversee and manage a comprehensive system of incident reports.Develop security Standard Operating Procedures for the company.Oversight of all digital camera systems and record retention.Maintain inventory of staff uniforms, tools, and equipment.Oversight of building access plans and systems.Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage a minimum of one (1) full-time staff and up to twelve (12) part-time venue security staff.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Police Academy, Sports/Facilities Management, or related field.Minimum of five (5) years of facility experience preferred, preferably in a stadium or arena.Minimum of three (3) years management experience.Prior experience working for a major league team preferred.Must demonstrate an ability to effectively manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.Candidates must have strong verbal and written skills.Skilled in producing reports, documentation, and comprehensive project plans.Graduate of IAVM’s Academy for Venue Safety & Security preferred.Able to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings within a team atmosphere.
