FacultyJob DescriptionLincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, TN, seeks candidates for a Director of Bar Success starting July 2025. This is a non-tenure-track faculty appointment with a presumptively renewable twelve-month contract. The position includes future eligibility to apply for a long-term contract and governance rights as to all matters except hiring and promotion of tenured and tenure-track faculty. For a lateral candidate who has already established a strong record of scholarship, a tenure-track appointment may be an option.The Director oversees the law school’s bar success program, developing and implementing strategies to enhance student success on the bar exam through scheduled classes, workshops, individualized support, and curriculum integration. The Director also collaborates with faculty to ensure best practices in academic and bar success are incorporated school-wide. The Director coordinates

Duncan School of LawJob DutyJob Dutyteach bar preparation courses, which focus on both the Multistate Bar Examination ( MBE ) subjects and the written portion of the bar exams;Job Dutyteach other bar exam-related courses, workshops, and programming developed in response to the NextGen bar exam;Job Dutyteach academic success courses and other courses, as schedule allows;Job Dutydevelop and provide bar preparedness programming for students from law school orientation through bar exam administrations in February and July;Job Dutyprovide post-graduate bar support and programming, which includes scheduling and teaching supplemental workshops, reviewing writing assignments, supervising summer faculty advisors, and meeting one-on-one with graduates as necessary;Job Dutyprovide general advising and support to individual students on character and fitness concerns, course selection, and other strategic bar application considerations;Job Dutyprovide tailored advising, coaching, instruction, and referrals to address barriers and develop essential skills for law school and bar success;Job Dutycompile, track, and analyze student data to promote completion of bar preparation coursework and track bar passage for required reporting and trend assessment;Job Dutytrack and report information regarding bar passage, as required by the
