Position Summary: The program associate helps support the LA n Sync and Sustainability grantmaking and other community investments activities of the California Community Foundation (CCF). This position also provides support for coordination and documentation of departmental schedules, key grantmaking and convening activities and deadlines, committee schedules and meetings, and related background information.Major Responsibilities:
Database/Document Management:
Maintains databases and filing systems, including, but not limited to funding requests, grants, and mailing lists.Reporting:
Supports the production of grant agreements, payment requests, and related reports (e.g., late/missing progress reports, grantee profiles, grant trends). Assists with tracking budgets and processing invoices.Planning Activities:
Ensures timely preparation and coordination of key activities and materials for grants review panels, advisory/board committees and/or board meetings.Communications:
Assists with screening and routing applications, phone communications, and correspondence. Prepares routine mailings and responds to routine questions.Clerical Activities:
Implements routine clerical activities, including data entry, logging funding requests, maintaining calendars, and scheduling meetings.Event Coordination:
Assists with the planning and execution of all events and meetings supporting LA n Sync and Sustainability activities.Research:
Researches and presents data and information as appropriate, with regards to LA n Sync and Nonprofit Sustainability Initiative (NSI) priorities.Grant Writing Coordination:
Prepares grant applications and progress reports for LA n Sync/NSI and CCF general grants.General:
Works as a member of interdepartmental teams to ensure effective and efficient CCF operations.Other duties as assigned, dependent on organizational needs and employee skills.
