Job Title: Full-Cycle Recruiter
Reports to: Director of HR
Salary Range: $73,128.72 - $88,887.61
Status: Regular Temporary Full-Time Part-Time FLSA: Exemption status will depend on pay
Job Summary:
The Full-Cycle Recruiter at Chief Seattle Club (CSC) will be responsible for managing the entire recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding for a diverse range of positions. This role is integral in supporting the organization’s mission to provide housing and human services to vulnerable populations among the American Indian and Alaska Native people in Seattle. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for our mission, an understanding of the unique challenges of recruiting for nonprofit roles, and experience in cultivating diverse and inclusive talent pipelines.
Essential Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategy & Planning:
Collaborates with department heads to assess staffing needs and create recruitment plans.
Teams with managers and HR to develop job descriptions.
Posts job openings on relevant platforms, including niche sites to reach diverse and underrepresented populations.
Candidate Sourcing & Outreach:
Proactively sources candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, and partnerships with local educational and vocational institutions.
Builds and maintains relationships with community organizations, particularly those serving Native and Indigenous populations, to support recruitment efforts.
Full-Cycle Recruitment:
Manages the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
Coordinates interview schedules and is the main contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Facilitates candidate offer processes and extends offers in alignment with organizational policies.
Develops recruitment strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
Onboarding & Orientation:
Partners with HR to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including orientation, paperwork, and initial training.
Data Management & Compliance:
Maintains accurate recruitment records and candidate tracking using the organization’s applicant tracking system (ATS).
Ensures all recruitment practices comply with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and other legal requirements.
Prepares recruitment reports and metrics to share with HR leadership.
Employer Branding:
Promotes the organization as an employer of choice through storytelling and community engagement.
Attends career fairs, networking events, and community outreach efforts to raise awareness of the organization’s mission and career opportunities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. Recruitment certifications a plus.
Experience recruiting for a variety of roles, including hard-to-fill and specialized positions.
Skills & Competencies:
Understanding of nonprofit sector recruitment and challenges, especially in providing services to vulnerable populations.
Knowledge of employment law, EEO regulations, and best practices.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Work Environment:
Work Schedule: Full-time (Monday-Friday); some flexibility for attending community events or job fairs outside of normal working hours.
Location: Hybrid work model with a combination of one (1) remote workday per week, and four (4) days in-office at the Seattle location.
Collaboration: Works closely with HR and CSC leadership. Regular engagement with community organizations and job candidates.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to twenty-five pounds occasionally for materials and equipment.
Must be able to travel locally to attend recruitment events, job fairs, and community meetings.
