Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systemsCoordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testingContributes to completion of major engineering programs and projectsDevelops solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problemsOversees highly complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management toolsPerforms continual maintenance and provides highly complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problemsPrepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projectsWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical disciplineRequired Experience: 8+ years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills: Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux; experience with NFS, AD/LDAP integration, Web Servers, certificates, LVM, VMware, Linux security hardening, Red Hat Satellite Server, Cloud and/or Hybrid-Cloud deployments, configuring storage over Fiber ChannelSecurity Clearance Level: TS/SCI with PolygraphRequired Skills and Abilities: Works independently under limited supervision, possess current DoD IAT II Level certificationPreferred Skills: Experience with BASH Scripting, kickstart deployments, Big Data solutions, Nutanix, Splunk, AWS/Azure, and/or HPE storage solutionsLocation: On Customer SiteUS Citizenship RequiredGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:
