We have partnered with a non-profit organization who is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join their growing team. Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will serve as the lead on all aspects of accounting operations including accounts receivable/payable, account reconciliations, and maintaining strong financial controls in accordance with GAAP. This is a hybrid role!
Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile various balance sheet accounts such as cash, investments, fixed assets and others on a monthly basis Prepare monthly journal entries Participate in the month-end close Responsible for monthly reconciliations of accounts receivable as well as manage invoices and retro payments Investigate and resolve overpayment balances Reconcile Employee Receivables account and resolve delinquent accounts Lead the implementation of the AR module and AR process improvements Assist with audits throughout the year Complete annual Welfare Exemption Forms Responsible for annual 1099 filing Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field At least 4 years of accounting experience required Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work with minimal supervision
