Casualty Claim Representative – Senior Bodily Injury Specialist

Join the Plymouth Rock team, where you’ll leverage your expertise in handling high-severity First and Third Party Bodily Injury claims within a Personal Lines and Commercial environment. This is a dynamic and critical role for a seasoned professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Thorough Investigations:
Initiate prompt and comprehensive contact with insureds, claimants, and witnesses. Conduct in-depth coverage and liability/injury investigations, including recorded statements to resolve claims effectively.
Policy Expertise:
Review and interpret complex policies, providing expert guidance on Excess and Primary coverage issues.
Field Investigations & Strategic Oversight:
Lead field investigations and direct outside vendors (Field/Counsel/Surveillance). Ensure all investigations are necessary and executed with precision to bring claims to a successful conclusion.
Expert Reserve Management:
Conduct timely reserve analyses based on developments, ensuring proper financial oversight of claims.
Fraud Detection & Risk Management:
Identify and investigate fraudulent claims, and liaise with SIU when necessary to mitigate risk.
Litigation Strategy:
Bring your litigation experience to the forefront by collaborating with defense counsel, participating in the discovery process, and developing settlement strategies throughout litigation.
High-Stakes Negotiations:
Engage in merit-based negotiations with injured parties and their attorneys to achieve optimal outcomes for both 1st and 3rd party claims.
Subrogation Potential:
Recognize and capitalize on subrogation opportunities to mitigate losses.
Litigation Participation:
Represent the company in litigation proceedings, attending arbitrations, depositions, settlement conferences, mediations, and trials.
Continuous Learning & Leadership:
Stay ahead of industry changes by attending internal and external training events, while contributing to proactive team initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Experience:
5–10 years of proven experience in handling complex liability claims, including Commercial, Homeowners, UM/UIM, and Excess/Umbrella cases.
Expert Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of litigation, arbitration, trial processes, and out-of-state claim handling.
Leadership Skills:
Strong self-motivation with advanced expertise in coverage, investigations, legal issues, negotiations, and subrogation.
Communication & Problem-Solving:
Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex claim resolutions.
Regulatory Adherence:
Comprehensive knowledge of State laws, regulatory guidelines, and statutory regulations.
