Job Title:Director of Finance Business Services
Reporting To:Group Vice President, Financial Control
Work Schedule:Onsite – Buffalo, NY
Our team in Corporate Group is looking for an experienced Director of Finance Business Services to oversee various elements of our North American shared services, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL) accounting. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-date operations of, and driving continuous improvements within, the shared services organization. You will report to the Corporate Controller Group Vice President and will have a hybrid work schedule in East Aurora, NY.
As a strategic leader, you will shape impactful frameworks and metrics to drive performance optimization. Your contributions involve maximizing partnerships, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and enhancing governance to mitigate risks. You will also focus on transforming operations and establishing new performance standards to elevate overall effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, operations, or a related field; CPA and MBA preferred.
Minimum of ten years of progressive finance or shared services experience, with at least five years in a supervisory role.
Expertise in centralizing and optimizing processes.
Deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes and financial systems.
Knowledge of finance best practices, including leveraging technologies.
Excellent information analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
Research, evaluate, and implement key aspects of the finance shared services model, including governance, organization, operating model, and performance objectives.
Advance the shared services organization by implementing best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and leading process automation solutions.
Achieve financial and performance objectives through effective business support, including the creation of Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indicators, and performance dashboards.
Establish a strong governance framework to ensure ongoing and effective communication about business needs and expectations.
Lead and engage a high-quality team focused on operational excellence.
Manage effective business models, including the oversight of external service providers.
Maintain a strong financial control environment and mitigate risks.
Expand the footprint of shared services to support additional entities and markets.
