The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.How you will create an impactReviewing underwriting processes and making recommendations for improvementsSupporting senior underwriting leadership to ensure brokers’ services are evaluatedOversee expert reviewer process and ensuring feedback is acted upon by underwritersReport on compliance with key standards and processesManage delegated underwriting management function ensuring that all underwriting disciplines and controls necessary for the underwriting of binding authorities are adhered to and escalated where necessaryParticipate in sign-off process of binding authoritiesManage the wordings functionOversee the external claims peer review processesProvide expertise and knowledge for an independent peer review of claimsProvide regular quantitative and qualitative reports to Claims and Senior ManagementWhat you’ll need to succeedDeep technical expertise and knowledge of Marine products and underwriting processesProven track record in senior underwriting leadership positions, influencing across teams and ensuring processes are adhered toLeading and engaging technical, operational and underwriting teamsInsight: Strategic perspective, critical thinking and decision makingAgility: Cultural adaptability, pace and future focusRelationships: Trust, communication, influencing multiple stakeholders and ability to gain buy-in to new ways of workingCommercial edge: Identifying and acting on risks, ensuring processes support underwriting disciplineReady to take your career to the next level?
