Oct 30, 2024Dentons US LLP is recruiting for a Senior Docket Specialist to be based out of our Los Angeles, Oakland, Orange County, or San Diego office. This position will report to the Manager, Litigation Docket. This position is primarily remote.ResponsibilitiesCalculate and docket litigation related deadlines and monitor associated reminders, emails and reports.Perform electronic court filings in Federal, State and Appellate Courts.Generate custom docket reports and queries as requested.Coordinate service of court documents.Assist as subject matter expert to lawyers and support staff on federal and state court rules and procedures; answer questions and provide advice regarding procedural requirements and filing processes.Research and/or monitor cases with the use of various online resources.Assist with registering attorneys for electronic court filing and troubleshooting account access issues.Keep abreast of developments within the court system and coordinate dissemination of pertinent information in conjunction with Docket Management (i.e. rule changes, closures, filing requirements).Perform quality control of internal work product using internal and external sources.Playing a lead role on implementation of special projects.Assist with development of department policies and procedures and innovation related projects by providing subject matter expertise.Assist in training of new team members on department standard operating procedures and docketing software.Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years docketing or related experience highly desired.Knowledge of basic litigation docketing, calendaring and Civil Procedures.Experience utilizing docketing software (i.e. Milana, eDockets, CompuLaw, etc.).Knowledge of various court websites, docket searching and document retrieval databases (PACER, LexisNexis, Westlaw, File & Serve Express etc.).Strong knowledge of federal and state e-filing procedures and technologies.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications.Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.Available to work overtime and/or contribute to after-hours coverage.Salary RangeCalifornia Only DOE $85,000 - $105,000Dentons US LLP offers a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, profit sharing, short-term/long-term disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, paid holidays and discretionary bonuses.Dentons US LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
