Peraton is seeking a Lead Systems Administration to support an Intelligence Community customer in the Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area.
Responsibilities are:
Lead a team of administrators to include the planning/scheduling of tasks, training and mentorship to personnel, ensuring proper resourcing, and status reporting to senior management.
Determine candidates for employment/termination, conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff and is responsible for the application of company policies.
Plans, directs, and coordinates all sustainment activities for a portfolio of Joint Operation & Intelligence Center Applications across multiple functional areas and products.
Ensures team is meeting contractual O&M Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Ensures best practices are in place, while mentoring, leading, and collaborating with other software/systems engineers and system administrators across the task order to bolster organization capabilities and resiliency.
Directs sustainment activities to include, ensuring that sustainment projects are completed on time and according to quality standards, facilitating communication upward and across project team including project status, justifications for variances and technical information.
Prioritizes and allocates projects, products, and resources with the assistance of project managers, software/systems engineers, system administrators and ISSOs.
Participates in the strategic decisions about technology, definition, and implementation of the Joint Operation & Intelligence Center Applications and their long-term sustainment requirements.
Provides task direction and guidance to less experienced team members.
Responsible for process improvement initiatives as they relate to sustainment efforts.
Investigates problems and develops disposition and recommended corrective actions.
Qualifications
10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
Required Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's degree in an area applicable to the position with 10+ years of relevant experience. Additional 4 years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Active DOD TS/SCI (OR SCI eligibility) security clearance with an active poly OR the ability to obtain a polygraph prior to start.
Willing to work 100% onsite in a secure environment.
A minimum 5 year of experience with systems administration, including Linux or CentOS
Experience maintaining systems in both cloud and virtual server environments.
Experience with ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) and STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) compliance remediation or experience with equivalent security requirements and tools.
Experience in interfacing with government designated representatives.
Possess solid organization abilities and be a motivated, flexible team player.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action.
DoD 8570 Compliant holding current IAT level II baseline certification (Security+ CE, CASP+ CE, GICSP, SSCP, etc.)
Desired Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience managing sustainment teams.
Demonstrated experience with the coordination, planning and implementation of project activities and resources using a flexible, adaptive, and problem-solving approach.
Current CI polygraph.
Linux+ certification.
Current RHCSA/RHCE certification.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification
VMware Certified Professional.
Knowledge of SQL Servers.
Familiarity with RMF (Risk Management Framework.) Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
