Record drilling fluid properties and chemicals used.Maintain spare parts lists for solid control and circulation equipment.Record maintenance performed on solids control and circulation equipment.Maintain drilling fluid solids control and circulation equipment.Carry out routine drilling property sampling.Mixing of drilling fluid chemicals and maintenance of drilling fluid properties.Cleaning and maintenance of pits.Follow Nabors and customers operating and reporting procedures.Maintain clear communication with relief, mud engineers, derrickhand and driller.Essential Functions
Have knowledge of and understand Nabors Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy.Have knowledge of possible health, safety and environmental impact as well as state and federal regulatory compliance requirements associated with oil and gas drilling operations.Have knowledge of environmental management systems (EMS) operation, key personnel, and their functions and responsibilities.Correct use of required activity permits and MSDS sheet.Implementing Nabors safety and hazard recognition programs each shift, or as scope of work changes.Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.Ability to write correspondence and effectively present information as needed.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, areas, circumference, and volume.Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodations.Ability to wear respiratory protective devices.Ability to successfully complete Rig Pass.Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma, certification or equivalent.Previous experience as floorhand, derrickhand, or pitwatcher.Arctic experience.Job
