You might just be the right candidate for us.We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior-Level Attorney to join our Cruise Legal Team remotely from Texas. As a Senior-Level Attorney at Cruise, you’ll be at the forefront of cutting-edge legal work, partnering with teams across the organization to help shape the future of autonomous vehicle technology.In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to influence major business transactions, negotiate high-impact agreements, and drive commercial strategies forward. You’ll also contribute to creating innovative legal solutions, working with some of the brightest minds in the industry. Collaborate with legal colleagues and cross-functional business teams across Cruise’s entire organization to strategize, draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial, technology and intercompany agreements in support of both day-to-day business and strategic commercial transactions.Identify, interpret, explain, and advise on non-standard terms and associated risks, contract requirements, obligations, and risk exposure to relevant business stakeholders.Improve and create contract templates and negotiation playbooks to support continued commercial scaling.Serve as trusted legal advisor on significant business transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures.As business priorities arise and change, prioritize, manage, and complete a wide variety of legal work.Work cross-functionally to ensure that necessary approvals are obtained in accordance with Cruise’s corporate governance system.What you must have:

Senior-level attorney with 7+ years transactional experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on technology and intellectual property matters, especially technology transactions involving inbound and outbound technology licensing, hardware and software development, and co-development engagements.Experience with commercial contracting and providing legal counsel in all aspects of the commercial transaction process including reviewing, drafting, counseling on, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements (NDAs, master services agreements, SaaS agreements, software licensing agreements) to support Cruise’s supply chain and commercial operations.Proven ability to collaborate on multiple complex cross-functional projects.Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with short deadlines simultaneously.Highly responsive and service oriented with excellent legal and business judgment.Law degree from an accredited law school.Member of a State bar.Bonus points:

Experience negotiating M&A | JV deals, complex strategic transactions, and/or partnerships.Direct or indirect supervisory experience of attorneys and/or paralegals.Experience at a well-regarded law firm.In-house legal experience in a high-growth technology company.Remote candidates based in Houston, TX.The salary range for this position is $175,400 - $258,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits.
