The Law Department is seeking an experienced healthcare transactional lawyer with regulatory experience to serve as the lead attorney overseeing all contractual aspects of Kyverna’s various programs, studies, and trials.
Responsibilities:
Oversees routine day-to-day legal support for Kyverna’s contractual needs, including senior legal support for contract drafting, negotiation and strategy for our largest and most strategic studies and trials.Accountable for coordination of legal risk tolerances and contracting standards, processes, and strategy in support of the Company’s strategic objectives.Manages a team of legal professionals that provide cross-functional support services for the above areas.Serves as the key legal advisor to senior leadership, including legal risk mitigation, manufacturer relationship management, and strategic initiatives and compliance programs.Frequent interactions with other internal legal and business stakeholders across functional groups.Requirements:
6+ years of corporate law experience.Large law firm experience combined with in-house experience, strongly preferred.Excellent commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills.High comfort providing healthcare regulatory advice (Anti-kickback law, FCA, privacy, government price reporting, 340B, government contracting, antitrust).Experience in the pharmaceutical space (clinical trial development, FDA market access, supply chain channel strategy).Proven legal team management experience, and a strong desire to develop and manage a team of high-functioning legal professionals.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to provide sound, clear legal advice to all levels within the company, including senior business executives.Highly responsive, resourceful, proactive, solutions-oriented approach.Ability to work closely with, facilitate interactions within, and influence large cross-functional teams (including representatives from other areas of the law department, regulatory, quality, and compliance professionals, business colleagues and operations managers).Notable business acumen dealing with risk management and organizational savvy.Must have a business pragmatic approach, be patient-centric and a team player who can develop strong working relationships and work collaboratively with internal clients and members of the senior leadership.Ability to lead by example including a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and undertake day-to-day legal work.Juris Doctor Degree with excellent academic credentials. Member of a jurisdiction is required.Must be authorized to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
$200,000 - $225,000 a yearThe salary range for candidates residing in California for this position is $200,000 to $225,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation geographic location, individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
