ScopeOur Financial and Valuation Advisory (FVA) business’ Dispute Resolution Consulting (DRC) team is led by financial experts who bring unique value to counsel and their clients on valuation and accounting/forensic matters related to disputes in litigation, arbitration, and mediation. Our services include case assessment, strategy design, complex financial modeling, damage theory formulation, settlement assistance, and expert witness testimony in a variety of legal matters.
Position OverviewAn experienced Associate position is available in our DRC practice. You will play a key role on our engagement teams, which are typically comprised of a Managing Director or Director as the engagement principal, a Vice President as the engagement manager, an Associate, and one or more Financial Analysts.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Associate in our DRC practice, your primary activities will include:
Oversight of Financial Analyst teams
Constructing and reviewing valuation, damages, and other financial models
Performing financial-statement, economic, industry and other quantitative and qualitative assessments
Participation in client and team meetings
Designing and drafting work product
Presenting analyses and conclusions internally to review committees
Directing the efforts of Financial Analysts
Assisting with specific sales, marketing, and research initiatives
Basic Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
Four to seven years of experience in a valuation, dispute, or litigation consulting firm
Strong knowledge of finance, valuation, and accounting, and keen analytical capabilities
Strong qualitative and quantitative research and analytical abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Prior investment banking, finance and accounting, or similar relevant experience
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with team members
Intellectually curious and self-motivated
Exceptional work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics
Recognized credential(s) (e.g., ASA, ABV, CBV, CFA)
Salary RangeHoulihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:
$95,000.00-$160,000.00
Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.
