This position is located organizationally in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS). This Pathways position provides the incumbent with an opportunity to gain valuable training and work experience while also supporting BJS projects which serve as the national foundation for knowledge related to the criminal justice system.Duties

Develops a range of statistical products, questionnaires, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and support dissemination to diverse audiences.Assists in conducting reviews and provides support for assignments of a less complex level than those handled by statisticians and mathematicians and determines the application of such data to various projects and initiatives.Helps perform statistical verification, including reviewing program code and conducting text-to-table checks.Salary

Undergraduate Credit Information: 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours is equal to 1 academic year above high school. For Study at a Business or Technical School: 36 weeks of study (20+ classroom hours per week) is comparable to 1 academic year above high school. You MUST provide proof of education or of certification to be considered for this position. Education MUST be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the education requirements if you can show that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States. The selectee will be required to physically report to the OJP office building for some portion of each pay period
