Sr. Python Engineer

Overview:This senior engineering role is a software engineering role that integrates and implements custom business logic for our most critical systems using a cloud-based workflow engine. The role will give you the opportunity to continue your professional development and enable you to make impactful contributions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role, you will work as a core contributor on an agile DevOps team that solves large scale problems using the latest cloud technologies. You will actively contribute in every part of the development lifecycle, from design and development to CI/CD and delivery.About Chick-fil-A Supply:As wholly owned subsidiaries of Chick-fil-A, Inc., Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods are food production and distribution services networks focused entirely on serving the unique needs and growing volume of Chick-fil-A restaurants.The Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods service networks are comprised of three components:Distribution Center – State-of-the-art warehouses that house supply for Chick-fil-A restaurantsProduction Distribution Center – Offsite facilities that prepare select ingredients and menu items for Chick-fil-A restaurantsTransportation – Growing fleet of delivery vehicles that supply Chick-fil-A restaurantsResponsibilities:Design, deliver and operate complex cloud-based (AWS) software solutionsDesign, develop, and deliver solutions using Python and Kubernetes in an AWS environmentImplement AWS Cloud based microservices in a highly transactional system that is available 24/7.Leverage agile project management tools and methods to impact the team through system enhancements with a focus on small, frequent releases and continuous improvementDevelop relationships within IT and the business to help with understanding, influencing, and estimating requirementsIdentify & propose emerging software engineering technologies, methodologies and/or approachesDrive Engineering and Operational excellenceMinimum Qualifications:5+ years of programming experience in PythonBroad experience developing solutions on AWS (IAM, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)Experience developing microservicesExperience with Docker/Kubernetes5+ years working in an agile environmentAn insatiable desire to learn new technologiesNote - This opportunity includes both building, deploying, and running solutions that require being part of the support rotation of the DevOps team. This support is shared amongst the team members to cover weekends and weeknights. The goal is to design for failure and automate responses in the cloud to possible issues so they can be worked during normal hours.Preferred Qualifications:A deep understanding of security best practices in the cloud and experience implementing themExperience with CI/CD, agile, or similar software development practicesUnderstanding of SRE conceptsMinimum Years of Experience:
