As a Senior Product Associate in
Utility Product Team,
you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success.
Job Responsibilities
Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery.
Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience.
Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers.
Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality campaigns across the product development life cycle.
Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development.
Partners with product owners and developers to deliver user stories, to define acceptance criteria, perform detailed requirements gathering and field-level data analysis.
Supports audit related activities both internal and external by providing data analysis and responding to inquiries.
Identifies areas for automated regression testing. Assesses system performance (both business logic and user experience) to review that functionality is as intended.
Reviews planned releases to recommend acceptable integration with existing components.
Creates and maintains technical content for support and end user consumption. Documents and supports release activity following the change release process.
Collaborates on production/business defects with deep dive analysis, synthesizing large amounts of data from various data sources into actionable insights, proposing solutions.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area.
Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle.
Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition.
Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy.
Advanced knowledge of business processes and data analysis, as well as the ability to construct complex data queries and collaborate with colleagues.
Technical experience with developing REST Service specifications using Swagger, creating Avro schemas for Kafka messages, understanding SQL and no-SQL schema design principles.
Expert knowledge in all business processes across an entire line of business, as well as expertise in other lines of business and technology disciplines. Ability to liaison between lines of business and development teams, translating strategic plans of the future into technology solutions, and vice versa.
Understanding of business needs, including how data is used and managed, and functional design.
Experience working with high-performing teams in complex program execution, experience with documenting issues and creating stories in Jira.
Good understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods; stakeholder management; budget management, risk management and operations.
Ability to create and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the firm. Ability to create and communicate flow diagrams. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with SQL query writing and understanding Relational Database concepts.
