Molex is seeking a highly experienced technical Senior Director to join our Optical Systems Business Unit (OSBU). This is a Senior Director level position, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering. In this role the successful candidate will be part of a world-class engineering team and is expected to significantly contribute to the development of the next generation coherent and PAM4 optical transceivers. This role requires an experienced leader with a deep understanding of optical transceiver engineering and a track record of driving engineering excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Some travel is expected in this role.

What You Will Do

Lead a multi-disciplined engineering team with accountability to deliver new transceiver products per our strategic roadmap.

Develop an agile and quality focused engineering team.

Advance our company culture.

Develop and manage the R&D budget.

Provide updates for executive management, stakeholders and customers.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optoelectronics, or a related field.

A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the optoelectronics industry, with at least five years in a leadership role focused on transceiver development.

Deep knowledge of optical transceivers, manufacturing processes, and automation technologies. Proven experience with NPI processes and methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse engineering team.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to various audiences.

Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
