CLA is dedicated to building a culture that invites different beliefs and perspectives to the table, so we can truly know and help our clients, communities, and each other.Perks:Flexible PTO (designed to offer flexible time away for you!)Up to 12 weeks paid parental leavePaid Volunteer Time OffMental health coverageQuarterly Wellness stipendFertility benefitsCLA is currently seeking a Director of Application Development to join our growing Internal IT team.Responsibilities:Provide vision and leadership for developing, implementing, and integrating internally developed products and solutions into the CLA environments.Plan, direct, and coordinate product and solution delivery activities to ensure deliverables are achieved and aligned with business goals.Analyze the needs of different service lines and industries within CLA to determine solutions to meet business objectives.Lead and manage teams of application developers, including setting goals and standards, providing guidance and support, and evaluating performance.Accelerate digital transformation via the implementation of modern development management practices such as agile and DevSecOps.Oversee the development process, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities for change to ensure CLA solution relevancy.Provide direct management, mentoring, and support to software developers and product team members.Communicate with stakeholders to ensure software development efforts align with overall business strategy.Govern team deliverables and performance, setting goals and defining key performance indicators.What you will need:Ten years in software development, with five-plus years in a management/leadership role.Proven experience leading positive change and fostering effective architecture/technology practices.Prior experience in leading architecture activities like designing, roadmap, and proofs-of-concept.Extensive experience in web-based technologies like Microsoft .Net, ASP.NET, Web API, and front-end technologies like AngularJs, ReactJs, NodeJS.Strong experience with architecture styles like Microservices and Event-driven.Familiarity with data architecture and big data constructs.Experience designing Enterprise solutions in Cloud Platform, preferably using Azure.Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience with Agile practices such as Scrum, SAFe, and Feature-Driven Development.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.CLA is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by law.
