George Fox University announces the development of doctoral nursing practice programs (DNP) in the College of Nursing. Their team is seeking a faculty member who is enthusiastic about developing DNP programs, and preparing DNPs to work in rural settings throughout Oregon. The ideal candidate will have experience working in graduate nursing education and have a passion for serving vulnerable populations and underserved communities. The position is set to begin in January 2025.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Developing and teaching DNP core courses (online didactic courses).Assessing student performance, monitoring student progress, and providing timely feedback.Providing guidance and support to students to problem solve and discuss pertinent issues.Assisting as a committee member on student DNP projects.Demonstrating professional skills and interactions that support the mission and vision of the DNP programs and the university.Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.Other duties as assigned.
We're looking for candidates who have:An active, unencumbered Oregon APRN license.An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education.Experience in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including online teaching.Current knowledge of APRN practice and related professional issues.A minimum of two years of full time equivalent APRN clinical experience.The ability to demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.A commitment to the University's
Theology of Racial and Ethnic Diversity .A desire to work with a diverse community of students and employees who represent various cultures, backgrounds, abilities, ethnicities, political views, and expressions of Christian faith.A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and express their Christian testimony in a church. Salary and rank:Appointment at the Assistant Professor level is anticipated, though candidates with significant teaching experience at previous institutions may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor. Salary and benefits are competitive with comparable institutions.
