We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Director, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) to join our team. The Senior Director, EHS will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and environmentally compliant workplace. This position requires a strategic leader with a strong background in EHS management and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
EHS Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
Incident Management: Lead the investigation of EHS incidents and near-misses, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
Training: Develop and conduct EHS training programs for employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities. Prepare and present reports on EHS performance and metrics.
Sustainability: Promote sustainable practices and initiatives to minimize the environmental impact of company operations.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of EHS professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and adherence to EHS standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in the energy or technology sectors.
Certifications: EHS-related certifications such as CSP, CIH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
Knowledge: Familiarity with battery technology and the energy sector is a plus.
