As the Director of Programs for our Long Range Effects product line, you are responsible for execution of current programs and growth of the portfolio to meet 5 year order objectives. Our Long Range Effects group represents a enterprise strategic priority in the area of airborne weapon systems and is quickly establishing itself as a market leader. The group focuses on development and production of long range airborne effects meeting the emerging force mass gap in current DoD capability.
As a Sr. Program leader, you are responsible for Profit and Loss, staffing and career development of your team, technical and product road maps, and product line growth strategy. You'll lead an energic and focused team of program and engineering personnel and have regular engagements both with the executive program team and the business development team to formulate and execute a growth strategy. Based on this strategy, you will actively engage in customer meetings, industry days, and relevant conferences and seminars to form relationships with DoD customers and ensure alignment to their product road maps with our internal pursuit strategy. This role will be high energy, customer facing, and represent a strategic growth area for SNC.
Responsibilities Include:Lead SNC's overall effort to identify, develop, and capture new DoD programs in the Long Range Effects areaEngage regularly with Sr. Director, Vice President, and Senior Vice President of programs, and VP of business development to develop a 1 year and 5 year strategy to grow SNCs portfolioLead SNC's engagement with multiple DoD acquisition offices including USAF, Navy, OSDAttend industry day events, conferences, and 1 on 1 engagements to align our business strategy with DoD gaps and requirementsDevelop and deliver competitive product solutions for DoD customersLead SNC responses in partnership with our business development team to DoD requests for information (RFI), and requests for proposals (RFPs)Develop strategic partnerships with industry partners to further enhance our competitive offerings
Must Haves:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance or a related field
Relevant experience may substitute for required education
Thorough knowledge and understanding of program management, science, aerospace and/or engineering programsPrior experience leading a team of Program Managers and the programs they are managing; ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee career development, succession planning, performance management, coaching, mentoring, as well as holding people accountableExperience directing the preparation of proposals, business plans, specifications, and approves basis of estimates and rough order of magnitudes for potential pursuits and ensuring all resources such as engineering, manpower, production and facilities are available to support the programDemonstrated working knowledge of managing the cost, schedule and technical performance requirements of multiple programs through all phases from inception to completionProven track-record developing, communicating and executing to meet financial forecastsExtensive experience with the development of tactical and strategic business growth strategyResponsible for high-level relationship management internally (executive leadership, peers, support functions, and subordinates) and external customers; Interact internally with leaders and customers on business matters and partners with functional leadership towards success and continuous improvementResponsible for customer satisfaction, maintaining customer communication, and the overall management of the customer relationship to determine needs, requirements and new business opportunitiesAbility to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situationsProven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplinesFamiliarity with managing projects requiring Earned Value ManagementStrong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiencesProven ability to solve highly complex problems with significant business impactDoD or industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
USAF or DoD weapon systems and/or UAS development, testing, and operationsExperience developing cost estimates for the development of weapon systems to inform DoD budgets

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $186,100.35 - $255,887.98. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
