Description:Under the general direction of the Protocol Support Laboratory Supervisor, the Senior Pharmacokinetic Technician (PKtech) contributes to the organizational planning of the Department‘s day-to-day operations. He/She ensures the quality of laboratory services provided and the interactions with the clinical coordinators, nurses and health professionals, supporting the institutional philosophy. He/She is also responsible for performing complex biospecimen processing techniques and those that require sterile conditions as per Clinical Trial or Research project requirements. The Senior PKTech captures data related to laboratory biospecimen on paper and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in compliance with regulatory guidelines and Good Clinical Practices. He/She must troubleshoot issues. The Senior PKTech is responsible for performing maintenance of laboratory equipment and supply inventory. He/She significantly contributes to teamwork, envisions team success, assists during brainstorming sessions, and acts on proposed ideas.

Estimated pay range for this position is $15.92 - $20.70 / hour depending on experience.Qualifications:Degrees: Bachelor’s DegreeLicenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support, Collab Inst Training Init Laboratory Packaging and Shipping of Infectious Substances CertificateAdditional Qualifications: CITI certification and IATA Laboratory Packing and Shipping certification required within 6 months of job entry date. Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.Minimum Experience: 5 years
