Overview:
As the Regional Director of Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Sanitation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and sanitation across our operations. This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in food safety and quality management within the bakery industry.Responsibilities:Develop and Implement Food Safety Programs:
Design, implement, and manage robust food safety programs in compliance with industry regulations and standards. Oversee the development and maintenance of HACCP plans to identify and control potential food safety hazards.Quality Assurance Management:
Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure consistent product quality. Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and specifications.Sanitation and Hygiene Oversight:
Lead sanitation initiatives to maintain a clean and hygienic production environment. Implement sanitation procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.Regulatory Compliance:
Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and ensure company-wide compliance. Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections to address any compliance issues.Supplier and Vendor Management:
Work closely with suppliers to ensure the quality and safety of raw materials. Evaluate and qualify new suppliers based on established criteria.Training and Development:
Develop and deliver training programs for employees on food safety, quality, and sanitation practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and awareness regarding food safety and quality.Incident Response and Crisis Management:
Develop and implement protocols for handling food safety incidents or product recalls. Lead crisis management efforts related to food safety emergencies.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with other departments, including production, research and development, and logistics, to ensure alignment in quality and safety objectives. Act as a liaison between the corporate office and individual bakery locations.Qualifications:Proven experience in a senior leadership role within food safety and quality assurance, preferably in the bakery industry.In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and quality management systems.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Certification in food safety (e.g., Certified Food Safety Professional) is desirable.About us:
