The Los Gatos Theatre Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation at the Los Gatos Theatre. The Los Gatos Theatre Manager must have the ability to contribute in all areas of the operation as needed. This position directly reports to the Area Director and the Operations Team.Pay:
$25 - $31/hrHours:
Part Time or Full Time – 20-40+ hours per weekGeneral responsibilities include but are not limited to:Offer superior guest service according to established standards and practices.Provide coverage and assistance in the areas of concessions, box office, café and other guest service responsibilities as needed.Inspire, coach, and motivate team members to deliver a remarkable unmatched overall entertainment experience through direct oversight.Guide and encourage theater team members to maximize their personal growth and development.Oversee all theater departmental functions and other duties as assigned with the guidance of the Operations Team.People: Hire, train, retain and develop team:Cultivates a strategic team environment that provides exceptional guest service while directing a specific area of the management team.Leads the hiring process which consists of interviewing, hiring, and orienting quality candidates.Communicates with the Area Director and Operations Team on staffing needs and hiring programs.Leads in the execution of all staff and manager training programs.Promotes positive employee relations including effective delegation of managerial duties.Leads and schedules consistent staff meetings to ensure the theater team is up-to-speed on all areas of the theater operation.Sales: Manages annual budget and business plan to meet targeted financial performance:Sets sales goals by period for concessions and café.Ensures kitchen operating standards are met through facility maintenance, adequate staffing, and training of all kitchen staff members.Works on cost of sales through the inventory management system and food safety audits.Executes company marketing strategies to drive sales.Guests: Consistently meet the standards for the guest experience:Delivers an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of food, drinks and movies.Ensures that the front of house area meets operational standards and guest service needs.Monitors service cycles and coaches management team members on operational standards.Job Requirements:High School diploma or GED; undergraduate degree in hospitality, restaurant management preferred.1 or more years of progressive growth and management experience at CineLux Theatres or 2 or more years in high volume and/or multi-unit theater, retail or restaurant operations.Skill Requirements:Working knowledge of all theater functions, including projection equipment, food and beverage operations.Outgoing, positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with the public.Demonstrates team management, delegation, issue resolution, coaching skills.Excellent leadership, training and development skills.Effective oral and written communication skills.Demonstrates organization and time management skills.Outstanding ability to listen, communicate, and work effectively with guests.Computer literate with the ability to learn and train others in new technologies.Ability to adhere to CineLux Theatres’ grooming guidelines.Flexible availability including daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays.Additional requirements:Basic food handling skills as required by local and/or state regulations.Restaurant management or food service experience preferred.California Food Manager Certification.Prior experience with point-of-sale cash handling systems preferred.Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:Work days, nights, and weekends as required.Work in a noisy, fast paced environment.Frequently lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.Move about the facility and stand for long periods of time.CineLux Theatres reserves the right to assign and reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.ABOUT US:
