Our ongoing tradition of groundbreaking achievement has earned top recognition at the national and international levels and makes M-DCPS your best choice.STUDENT PERSPECTIVES CURRICULUM SUPPORT SPECIALISTThe Student Perspective Curriculum Support Specialist (SP-CSS) will be deployed to various Miami-Dade County Public schools to provide short-term support focused on the objectives of amplifying student voices and student experiences. The CSS will develop strategies to promote student engagement and involvement with various aspects of decision-making. The SP-CSS will provide support to school administrators with the implementation of the objectives and activities as outlined in the Student Perspectives Toolkit.Support may include consultation and modeling to assist schools with increased engagement, ACCESS, and participation across various student groups.The SP-CSS will collect and analyze data; prepare outcomes; and disseminate feedback to key stakeholders. The SP-CSS will assist with organizing district quarterly SP chats.The Office of Education and Economic Access (OEEA) will deploy the SP-CSS when requests are made by school site administrators for assistance with the implementation of Student Perspectives. Once assigned, the SP-CSS will collaborate with school leadership to implement strategies; meet the objectives; and provide feedback/recommendations for continuous improvement and successful implementation. The SP-CSS will regularly document and share progress toward meeting each project’s objectives.REQUIREMENTS : (Included but not limited to)Deep knowledge of utilizing data to measure and improve school climate and cultureAbility to deliver engaging and clear staff professional developmentAbility to develop respectful professional relationships, build trust in a limited time, engage and inform school leaders, staff, and students about Student Perspective and Student ExperienceAbility to handle various projects and responsibilities and work with multiple school communitiesAbility to efficiently and strategically build school capacity within the constraints of limited resourcesAdvanced competency with Google Drive, Canva, and Microsoft Office, specifically ExcelAbility to develop research questions and design surveysProfessionalism in the areas of punctuality, documentation, organization, and phone/email responsivenessMust have reliable transportation to school sitesRESPONSIBILITIES : (Included but not limited to)Collect data from quarterly chats and develop a plan to disseminate quantitative and qualitative data findings to key stakeholdersCollect monthly data from school sites SP chatsEstablish the SP quarterly newsletterFamiliarize school administrators with content and tools in the M-DCPS Student Perspective ToolkitDevelop support videos to assist administrators with the implementation of SPProactively address questions and concerns staff, students, and community stakeholders have about Student Perspective and Student Experience and implement strategies to gain stakeholder buy-inConduct implementation evaluations and create annual reports aligned with the implementation of SP regarding student recommendations for school and district improvementPerform other assigned duties related to the general administrative responsibilities of the positionAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTSTo create your candidate profile, you will need to gather the following:Official
